A Note About the Downloaded ZIP File(s)
     If you downloaded files with the extension ‘.ZIP', you will have to 'unzip' the file before running setup.
Double click the file to ‘attempt'to unzip it. If you are unable to unzip it, you may not have an unzip
program installed on your computer. Several programs are offered on the Internet for unzipping ‘.ZIP' files.

Installing WaltonOS

Downloading and Setting Up the Walton Feed Ordering System

Go to http://waltonfeed.com/self/program.html

Sign up for the update email.

Click on “Download here”.

Click on “Walton Ordering System for Windows”.

The “Save as” screen appears. Pick a place to download the file that you will remember.

Click “Save”.

Go to Window Explorer. Navigate to the place that you saved the file.

Double click on the file.

Your zip program will come up. If you get an error message you will have to download a zip program.
You can find one at www.winzip.com.

Click on INSTALL.

Click on OK.

Follow the instructions. You should not have to change anything.

If you got an email, double click on the attachment. If you did not get an email,
go to waltonfeed.com/self/wosdown.html and download the pricelist. Find the file
in Windows Explorer and double click it.

At this point it will bring up your unzip program.

Extract the file to C:\Program Files\Walton Feed\WaltonOS

Go to the start button, then to programs and then to WaltonFeed and then click on WaltonOS.

This will start the program.

The first thing you will do is go to FILE, then to OPEN PROJECT. That will bring up the
OPEN screen. You will open the WFOS file that is listed there.




NOTE!

If the program comes up with an error message, you will need to download and install
one more file. Go to http://waltonfeed.com/self/wosdown.html and download the DAO/Jet
Database. Save the file. When it has finished downloading, find it in Windows Explorer
and extract the files. Extract to a location that you will remember.

After it has extracted, find the location in Windows Explorer. Go to the directory labeled
“daosetup” and then to the directory labeled “Disk 1”.

Click on the “Setup” application. Follow the directions.

Setup will offer to install the following two components:

      1. Jet 3.5

      2. ODBCDirect

   ODBCDirect is not required! Just install Jet 3.5.

Just click OK for everything else.

Return to the program. Everything should work fine.


Removing WaltonOS from your Computer
     To un-install WaltonOS, go to 'Add/Remove Programs' in the control panel, click on WaltonOS in
the list, then click the Add/Remove button. You can get to the control panel by clicking on 'Start', then
'Settings', then 'Control Panel'.
