Make Your Own Bath Salts with Cynthia Kaloust

Oatmeal Cream Almond Bath Salt Recipe

You can increase the salts along with the ingredients by doubling or tripling all of the ingredients for when you want to make bath salts as gifts or when you are stocking up on your favorites.

This recipe is meant to make enough bath salts for three baths, using 1/2 cup of bath salts in each tub of water. If you like to have your tub filled to almost the brim, you might like to use a little more salt in your tub of hot water to get the same bath salt sensations.

  • 1 cup of large sea salts
  • 1/2 cup white fine sea salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon of sweet almond oil
  • Add 5 drops of your favorite essential oils.
Mix well until there are no clumps in the mixture.
  • Add one cup of powdered milk to the bath salt mixture and repeat the mixing motion.
  • Add 1/2 cup of uncooked, unsweetened whole oats.
Repeat the mixing motion.

Mix the bath salts well, using a plastic or wood spoon. Avoid using metal if you can.

Option: Add three drops of your favorite coloring to the bath salt mixture. Mix the coloring through the salt mixture.

Relax and Enjoy!
