Crumb Cake
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup lard
Rub together to form crumbs and save out 3/4 cup to use for cake topping.
- 1 cup buttermilk or sour milk
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2-1 cup raisins
Mix these second ingredients with the first and when batter is in the pan, sprinkle crumbs over it for icing and bake 350 deg. F.
